Hello Westfield Waves!

Here is more information about swim meets.

Our first swim meet is Saturday, June 10 at Nelson Farm Pool (1771 Norwood Lane). When parking at the pool, please be careful not to block driveways in their neighborhood.

The deadline to sign up swimmers for this meet is: Thursday, June 8 at 8:00 am. At this time, Coach Jackson will send our entries to the host team. No late entries will be accepted.

Spectators are welcome, so if your swimmer isn't sure about a meet yet, they can just come and cheer for their teammates.

Parent Expectations: As coaches we ask that you adhere to one simple policy; Let the coaches do the coaching. At meets, your role as a parent is best filled by being an encourager of your athlete. Please leave criticism, and race feedback to the coaches. We ask that each swimmer come and talk to us before and immediately after each race for feedback. Westfield Waves coaches do the 'sandwich theory' for feedback. (One thing that went well. One thing to work on. Another thing that went well) Feel free to ask questions, and inform us of your individual child's needs or circumstances. Good communication allows us to help each swimmer in a more appropriate capacity and allow the kids to better enjoy their swimming experience.

Volunteer Jobs: There are usually not volunteer opportunities at Away meets. The host team usually fills all their spots. If they do need help, they will let us know and we'll open some spots. Volunteer job sign-ups are also on the TEAM CALENDAR page of the website.
