Proposed 2020 Swim Camp for Westfield Waves
Hello Westfield Waves Swim Families,
As you know, this summer will be very different from past summer swim seasons.
Keeping safety, health, and social distancing regulations in mind, The Westfield Waves Swim Board has begun been making plans to run a Swim Camp when permission for pool access is granted from the Westfield Pool Board. At this point our ideas include a 4-week swim camp in July (or when permission is granted to allow groups of 50 to gather) which would include 4 days of practice (strokes, starts, turns) with Friday Fun days (relays, games, and more). Swimmers would be divided into age groups for the camp. There will not be meets with other teams.
Jackson Allen has agreed to be the head coach of the swim camp and Sadie Himot will be the assistant coach. Both were Westfield Waves swimmers in their youth.
At this time, we do not have specific dates, times or prices to announce, but we have our fingers crossed that even though the swim program will be different than other summers, Waves will still be able to offer this camp to keep swimmers engaged and excited about swim teams.
Thanks for your understanding, and as soon as we receive permission from the Westfield Pool Board, we will make an announcement with more details and let you know how to sign up.
Stay healthy and safe! Westfield Waves Swim Team Board
